The free baggage allowance does not apply to the carriage of sports equipment, skis and snowboards, i.e. it is paid as excess baggage. All sports equipment must be packed in special cases for transportation.

When traveling with a group of passengers, it is allowed to combine the norms for transporting skis and snowboards. Several pairs of skis or snowboards are allowed in one case, but provided that its weight does not exceed 32 kg. If the weight of a case with skis, snowboards and sports equipment is more than 32 kg, transportation of such luggage is paid at the excess baggage rate based on the actual weight (as oversized luggage).

Rules for the transportation of sports equipment on flights of JSC ATK YAMAL

1.Transportation of skis and snowboards

1.1 On all charter flights of JSC ATK Yamal

For one passenger, free transportation of ski equipment (a pair of alpine skis with ski poles or a snowboard) in a case and additional equipment (helmet, goggles, special clothing and shoes) is allowed, while the total weight of the passenger’s luggage must not exceed the weight of the free luggage allowance. The free baggage allowance corresponds to the class of service.

When traveling together, passengers are allowed to carry more than one pair of skis or more than one snowboard in one case. The number of pairs of skis and snowboards should not exceed the number of passengers in the group. In this case, it is allowed to sum up the free carriage of skis, snowboards and additional equipment, on the basis that the total weight of free baggage does not exceed 20 kg per person, but not more than 32 kg. In one case, each piece of baggage with ski and additional equipment must comply with the requirements of the baggage transportation rules on the Airline's flights. A piece of baggage over 32 kg is considered oversized and is paid based on the actual weight, regardless of the total amount of baggage.

1.2 Baggage in excess of the established allowance for main baggage, alpine skis, snowboards and additional equipment is paid at the current rates for excess baggage.

JSC Aviation Transport Company Yamal was created in 1997 on the initiative of the leadership of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In the same year, she received a certificate for permission to carry out passenger air transportation. Since that time, the air carrier's fleet has been constantly replenished with various models of aircraft. With their help, thousands of tourists fly every day in different directions. For the safety of tourists, the company has developed certain rules for Yamal baggage and hand luggage. They indicate the standards and substances and objects permitted for transportation. They must be observed so as not to create conflict situations, and also not to overpay for the transportation of excess baggage.

Hand luggage

It represents things that the passenger does not register, but simply takes with him on board the aircraft. It is worth considering that the weight of hand luggage, as well as its dimensions, must comply with the established parameters.

Allowed to transport liquids. In this case they must be properly packaged. For this purpose, special sealed bags are used. According to it, the airline employee must understand that the product is certified and can be transported on board.

Yamal Airlines allows you to transport the following in hand luggage:

  • medical thermometer (in original packaging);
  • disposable lighter (with you);
  • tonometer (mercury, in a standard case);
  • dry ice, which is intended for cooling perishable foods;
  • mercury manometer or barometer (packed in an airtight container with a seal);
  • hydrogen peroxide (3%).

All of these items can be placed under or above the passenger seat. It is also worth considering that along with hand luggage you can take with you a cradle, a bouquet of flowers, a briefcase, a small bag or backpack, outerwear in a case, a suit in a suitcase, crutches, medicines, devices for carrying a child, a cane, a folding chair - stroller These items may be needed during the flight.

For transportation of hand luggage, the size and weight of which exceed the established parameters, you must pay additionally. The cost depends on the flight fare.

Prohibited items and substances for transportation

To protect the lives of passengers and crew members, rules have been developed according to which it is prohibited to transport the following items on board:

In addition, it is prohibited to transport any fish and meat products that are not frozen (everything must be of high quality and properly packaged). It is also not allowed to transport liquids that are poured into containers with a volume of more than 100 ml. One passenger can transport no more than 1 liter of liquid.

Important! An exception to this rule is baby food. It can be taken on board in the quantity that the child needs.

Free baggage allowance

The following are permitted in checked baggage:

  • knives with a blade length up to 60 cm, scissors of a similar size;
  • spearfishing guns, hunting knives, bayonets, swords, daggers, simulators of any weapons, sabers, broadswords, crossbows and more;
  • aerosols that are intended for servicing sports equipment, with a capacity of no more than 0.5 kg and 2 liters per passenger;
  • alcoholic drinks with an alcohol content of 24-70%, bottled in containers of no more than 5 liters per passenger.

Electrical devices may only be transported unplugged and in protective packaging. You can use a hard suitcase or one coated with shock-absorbing material. It is prohibited to carry electronic cigarettes, vapor generators, spare batteries and other similar items in checked baggage.

Baggage allowance "Yamal"

Exception. These rules do not apply to the transportation of parcels accompanied by government department employees.

It is impossible to transfer for free the belongings of passengers whose weight exceeds 32 kg or more, objects measuring more than 2.03 m in three dimensions, pets and birds, as well as equipment and equipment for sports whose dimensions exceed the established standards.

What is prohibited from being carried in checked baggage?

It is not permitted to transport equipment or items that run on lithium batteries. These include Segways, electric scooters, hoverboards, unicycles, hoverboards, etc.

Note. This ban does not apply to power wheelchairs and mobile medical systems.

Prohibited substances and means for transportation are the same as in hand luggage (explosive, flammable and other liquids/aerosols).

Paid luggage

It is not always possible to fit a passenger's belongings into one suitcase. Especially if you are planning a long trip. You have to take several bags. In this case, transporting them will require more than one space in the cargo compartment. This type of baggage is called excess baggage. If you need to transfer something large, the luggage will be considered oversized. Transportation of such cargo is paid separately according to airline tariffs. All baggage is placed in the cargo compartment or directly in the aircraft cabin (if its dimensions allow this). Depending on the conditions of transportation, the cost of the service changes.

Excess baggage rates

Many passengers' luggage does not always correspond to the established norm. It is classified as above standard. They pay separately for its transportation. The cost is calculated depending on the following parameters:

  • overweight (per 1 kg);
  • range of flight;
  • service class.

The price of the service for 1 kg of excess weight varies between 75 rubles. and 10 euros. In some areas it increases to 180 rubles and 20 euros. The exact cost of transporting excess baggage can be found on the airline’s official website or by calling the hotline.

Oversized and heavy luggage

This category includes belongings of passengers whose dimensions exceed the established 203 cm in three parameters (height, length, width). Also oversized and heavy luggage - luggage whose weight exceeds 32 kg. It is transported for a fee in the cargo hold. This category also includes sports equipment and equipment that cannot be carried in checked baggage.

Oversized, heavy and non-standard luggage

Important! Transportation of items classified as heavy luggage is carried out in accordance with established tariffs.

On airline flights, the cost of the service is 500 rubles. This is in addition to flights from Moscow to Nadym and back, as well as from Moscow to Noyabrsk and back. On them, the price of transporting 1 kg of luggage in excess of the norm costs 90 rubles.

Baggage carried in a separate passenger seat

According to Yamal Airlines rules, luggage can be transported not in the cargo compartment, but directly in the aircraft cabin. These may be fragile and expensive items. For example, film, television, photo, video and radio equipment, as well as optical and electronic instruments, musical instruments. It is worth considering that the transportation of such luggage must be agreed upon with the airline in advance. For this purpose, a separate passenger seat will be allocated, for which you need to purchase a separate ticket. But it happens that all the seats in the cabin are already booked. In this case, the airline has the right to refuse to provide such a service.

Advice. To transport luggage in the aircraft cabin, it is better to book a seat along with the main ticket.

The cost of such a ticket will be 100% according to the tariff. There are no discounts or benefits provided. The weight of luggage carried in the cabin must not exceed 80 kg. This is the average weight of an adult. The packaging dimensions must allow the item to be placed on the passenger seat and fastened (it must have special fastenings).

Transportation of animals

The airline does not prohibit transporting pets. The only thing to consider is that the passenger must obtain permission. To do this, he must notify the carrier that a pet is traveling with him. The fact is that a certain number of animals can be on board an aircraft at the same time. If the passenger does not notify about the transportation of the pet, he may be denied the service.

Important! The company must be notified no later than 24 hours before the aircraft departure.

Rules for transporting animals in the aircraft cabin:

  • the weight of the pet together with the cage (carrying) should not exceed 8 kg;
  • Only one animal per passenger is allowed to be transported;
  • The pet must only be in a cage/container.

As for cages, containers/containers/baskets/bags, they should not exceed 115 cm in size in three dimensions (width, height and length). Their depth can be up to 40 cm. But at the same time, the animal should be comfortable to turn around and stand up. The frame of the cage or container must be made of durable material so that in the event of a force majeure situation it can withstand sufficient mechanical loads. There should be ventilation holes on its walls, and absorbent and soft bedding on the bottom.

Cage standards for animal transport

Note. Wicker baskets can be used to transport cats and dogs whose weight does not exceed 3 kg.

In addition, to transport a pet you need to obtain a veterinary certificate, Form No. 1. It is issued by the city veterinary institution. This is what you will need to travel on domestic flights.

Veterinary certificate in form No. 1

To transport an animal on international flights, the following documents are required:

  • veterinary passport with vaccination records;
  • veterinary certificate (issued at the airport veterinary service);
  • international veterinary certificate (issued on the basis of a veterinary certificate at the veterinary border control service);
  • documents required to be provided in the country of arrival.

You need to take care of the preparation of certificates and certificates in advance.

Transportation of sports equipment

Sports equipment and inventory are transported as excess baggage. Accordingly, the service is paid at the air carrier’s tariffs. Sports equipment must be packed in special cases. One case can contain several pairs of skis or snowboards, the total weight of which does not exceed 32 kg.

The free baggage allowance includes the following:

  • 1 set of ski equipment;
  • 1 snowboard and additional equipment (helmet, boots and goggles);
  • 1 pair of skis with poles.

You can transport sports equipment for free, the weight of which together with the cover does not exceed 20 kg. It is allowed to have one set of equipment in one case. On charter flights, you can carry free sports equipment whose weight and dimensions meet the established standards for checked baggage.

What to do if your luggage is damaged or lost

Unfortunately, not all passengers receive their belongings upon arrival. The baggage may have been sent by the airline on the wrong flight, or may be completely lost. What to do in this case? Firstly, you do not need to leave the baggage claim area. There is a search counter located in it. Secondly, you need to write an application to search for things, as well as draw up an act. The search desk staff will help with this. Based on these documents, search activities will be carried out. If the luggage is not found, the airline must compensate the passenger for the amount of damage. To do this, the passenger needs to write a statement. In case of refusal, he has the right to file a claim and recover damages in court.

If the luggage is damaged, the passenger must also seek help from the company's employees. But there is one caveat. If luggage is damaged, the damage is compensated based on the cost of insurance. And so the company bears limited liability. Therefore, it is better to insure your belongings before traveling. This can be done directly at the airport near a special counter.

Transportation of weapons, ammunition and special equipment

The airline does not transport weapons, ammunition and special equipment on L-410 aircraft. The design features of this type of aircraft do not allow compliance with aviation safety requirements for the transportation of the above cargo.

Air transportation of weapons, ammunition and special equipment (hereinafter referred to as weapons) on Yamal Airlines aircraft (except for the L-410 aircraft) is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the regulatory documents of federal executive authorities developed on their basis, laws of other states and international treaties of the Russian Federation.

During the flight, a passenger is prohibited from having in the aircraft cabin:

  • firearms, gas, pneumatic, bladed and mechanical weapons of all types;

The weapon of a passenger who has the right to store and carry it at the airport of departure is necessarily transferred to the Carrier for temporary storage during the flight and is issued to the passenger at the end of the flight at the destination airport.

If the aircraft's route runs across a state border, then the issue of carrying weapons on board must be regulated in advance by the passenger with the relevant authorities of the interested states in order to comply with the laws and regulations in force in these states. The passenger must have permission to enter the country with weapons from the competent authorities of that state.

Acceptance of weapons for transportation, preparation of the necessary documents, delivery on board the aircraft at the departure airport and issuance of weapons at the destination airport is carried out by an aviation security officer (SAS).

Acceptance of weapons from a passenger for temporary storage for the period of the flight is formalized by an act drawn up in triplicate, which is signed by the passenger who owns the weapon and the SAB employee. The first copy of the act is also signed by the Carrier and remains at the airport of departure in CAB, the second copy is handed over to the Carrier, and the third is issued to the passenger for receiving weapons at the destination airport. The SAB officer informs the passenger-owner of the weapon about the procedure for receiving it at the destination airport.

Employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the State Courier Service under the Government of the Russian Federation, who have appropriate travel orders, are in the performance of their official duties, as well as military personnel and employees of other paramilitary organizations, who have appropriate travel orders and accompany escorted persons, weapons for temporary storage is not transferred during the flight.

Transportation of weapons is carried out in packaged form, in a locked and sealed metal box, which must be located in an isolated luggage or cargo compartment of the aircraft.

Transportation of long-barreled weapons, the dimensions of which in disassembled form do not allow them to be placed in (standard) metal lockable boxes, is carried out in isolated luggage or cargo compartments of aircraft in passenger packaging, sealed by SAB (special container, case, case, cover), and meeting the requirements aviation security.

The transfer of weapons to a passenger at the destination airport is carried out by an aviation security officer upon presentation by the passenger-owner of the weapon of the third copy of the act, an identification document, a document for the right to carry and store weapons, and, if necessary, the corresponding permit for its import into the territory of the Russian Federation and export from the Russian Federation.

A weapon unclaimed by a passenger at the destination airport is handed over by an aviation security officer to the internal affairs authorities.

Free baggage allowance

The Carrier sets standards for free baggage allowance for one Passenger (the next with a separate seat in the cabin), both on domestic routes and on international routes:

  • economy class - 20 kg and 5 kg hand luggage;
  • business class - 30 kg, including hand luggage.

The free baggage allowance does not apply to:

  • the passenger's belongings, regardless of their name and purpose, the dimensions of which when packed exceed 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions (the total size of the three dimensions of each piece of luggage);
  • passenger belongings, regardless of their name and purpose, weighing more than 32 kg per piece;
  • courier correspondence and parcels accompanied by department specialists;
  • sports gear and equipment (skis, skateboards, etc.);
  • pets (birds), with the exception of guide dogs accompanying passengers with visual impairments.

Transportation of the specified baggage is paid based on its actual weight according to published tariffs, regardless of the passenger’s other items transported as baggage.

On November 5 they entered Russia. If previously it was possible to take a bag or suitcase weighing up to 10 kg on board an airplane, now it is up to 5 kg.

What to do if the weight and/or dimensions of your hand luggage exceeds the norms class="_">

Each airline sets its own standards. If, by the standards of a particular person, your bag is larger than a certain size, you will have to check it in as checked luggage. Passengers with a ticket without luggage will need to pay additionally for carry-on luggage in the luggage compartment.

Can airlines increase the allowed weight of hand luggage? class="_">

Yes, airlines are allowed to do this to gain a competitive advantage over their peers. That is, airline N may allow you to carry hand luggage weighing not 5, but 10 kilograms, if it wants to.

If a family flies together on the same flight and for the same purpose of travel, then the baggage allowance for them is added up.

We asked the airlines that fly from Yekaterinburg how their rules for carrying hand luggage have changed.

At the airline representative office" Yamal" class="_"> noted that so far they have not made any changes due to the entry into force of the new law.

– Read about all changes on the websites of the specific company you will fly with. At the moment I am writing out a ticket from Yamal Airlines: 20 kilograms - free luggage for each person. 5 kg is allowed in the cabin, and 15 kg is allowed in luggage, the airline explained.

IN "Aeroflot" class="_"> we decided not to change anything. Passengers can bring bags weighing up to 10 kg into the cabin (the sum of three dimensions up to 115 cm). More detailed rules are written on the airline's website. And by calling the contact center they clarified that these rules are current.

Interestingly, in addition to the established carry-on baggage allowance, you can additionally carry an umbrella, a laptop computer, a camera, or a video camera. And other items. These items are not presented for weighing, are not subject to registration and are not marked with tags.

IN "Ural Airlines" class="_"> also did not change anything. As the airline clarified, everything will depend on the type of ticket. Promotional fare: hand luggage up to 5 kg (size up to 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions 55*40*20), and luggage up to 10 kg (size up to 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions no more than 100 cm on any side).

Economy, premium economy fares: hand luggage up to 5 kg, baggage up to 23 kg.

You can also take an umbrella, outerwear, cell phone, camera, video camera, laptop computer and other items into the cabin in excess of the free baggage allowance. Full list on the airline's website.

At the airline UTair class="_">paid call center for its passengers: calls cost from 45 rubles per minute. If you call the UTair airline's toll-free number for calls within Russia, you will be warned that the number is allocated only for members of the Status bonus program.

We felt sorry for the money for the call, so we provide the information that is posted on the airline’s website. Here, too, everything depends on the type of ticket. Those flying in economy class can take hand luggage up to 10 kg (dimensions no more than 55x40x20 cm), and up to 23 kg in checked baggage (except for tickets purchased at the Light fare). According to "Light" - up to 10 kg can be carried into the salon. And luggage is for an additional fee.

In the call center S7 class="_">they explained that they also carry passengers with luggage according to their own rules. The rate depends on the tariff. For example, “basic economy”: hand luggage – 1 piece up to 10 kg, size no more than 55x40x20 cm. Baggage is paid, 1 piece up to 23 kg. And “business basic”: hand luggage - 2 pieces with a total weight of up to 15 kg, measuring no more than 55x40x20 cm and 1 piece of luggage up to 32 kg, 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions. Read more on the airline's website.

Airline "Victory" class="_">we were especially bombarded with questions about what you can take with you on the plane and not pay for it. Here, those who purchased a ticket before September 29 can carry 10 kg in the luggage compartment (1 piece) and 5 kg of hand luggage (36*30*27 cm) free of charge.

This design must accommodate the carry-on luggage of Pobeda passengers.

On Pobeda flights the following restrictions apply: total dimensions of hand luggage no more than 36x30x27 centimeters, total weight no more than 5 kilograms. In this case, you can take a backpack with you, but it, together with the rest of your hand luggage, should not exceed 5 kg.

A call to the Pobeda call center is also paid. Price from 55 rub. up to 60 rub. 17 kopecks excluding VAT per minute, including waiting time and conversation with the operator, depending on the region and telecom operator. But airline representatives promptly respond to passengers in the airline’s social media group.

At the airline call center Fly Dubai class="_"> they clarified that you can take a bag weighing no more than 7 kg on the plane if you are traveling in economy class. In addition, you can take with you one laptop or one handbag/briefcase (not exceeding dimensions 25x33x20 cm) or one duty-free bag. The total weight of your hand luggage must not exceed 10 kg. Each piece of hand luggage must not exceed dimensions of 55x38x20 cm.

If you are traveling in business class, you can take on board up to two pieces of hand luggage with a total weight of up to 14 kg. Each piece of hand luggage must not exceed dimensions of 55x38x20 cm.
